I brought a reconditioned engine from this business. i was quoted one price and when I went to pick it up the price was over $2300 more than the quote. I felt stuck in the transaction as I had already paid a $2000 deposit. After installing the engine i discovered at the first oil change that it had a leaking rear main seal. I was careful with running in the new engine and changed the oil and filters 3 times in 10,000 kms.
I had done just under 10,000 kms when the engine failed big time. number #3 exhaust valve failed, and destroyed the engine. The engine is a total write off. The engine was installed in March 2015 and it failed in July 2015. The business owner refuses to give any warranty saying its all my fault that the engine failed.
I am extremely disappointed with the way I have been treated by this business. I am over $8,000 out of pocket and this business refuses and warranty or compensation. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. Be very careful in dealing with them as they can not be trusted to stick to a quoted price or honor any rectification if things go wrong. I will be pursuing this further through the courts.
