Floorworld

Recently had laminate flooring put in, and whilst I had good before sales assistance, the laying of the flooring was quite different. The flooring was supposed to be installed on Thursday but was not completed till Saturday. The layer came Thursday, pulled up carpets but then informed me that he doesn't do sanding, so I had to wait until the sander he works with could come which could have been Friday or Saturday they couldn't tell me. Once it was scheduled for Friday, the sander then cancelled late at night and said he couldn't come till Saturday. I had to live in a dusty mess, with furniture scattered around the house and cancel social engagements on Friday and Saturday to accommodate the change. The flooring was finally completed on the Saturday afternoon. I don't understand why the layer doesn't work in conjunction with a sander, in anticipation of any sanding that might be required - he informed me that most jobs do require it and mine only required minimal sanding as the floor was in good condition. Follow up from store was adequate and empathetic, but was primarily based around following up payment rather than appeasing an unhappy customer. Flooring looks nice though.
