Can I do the small electrical jobs in my house myself?
Definitely no! In Queensland it is illegal for anyone but a qualified electrician to do any domestic wiring or house rewiring. Even if the work has been done to standard it will not pass certification which is bad news especially if you need to sell the property. When should I have an electrical safety check?
Fallon Solutions recommend that you should have an electrical inspection carried out if: You are purchasing a property that has been occupied. The property is more than 25 years old. If it is more than 5 years since one has been done. If you are concerned about how any of the equipment may have been installed. If you become a Fallon Home Protection Plan member, we conduct a complimentary Electrical Safety Inspection for you.
What are some of the advantages to installing a gas hot water system?
Gas hot water systems are environmentally friendly. Natural gas burns much less CO2 to heat the water than electricity. Electric systems can burn as much CO2 as an average sized car. Gas burns very hot and very little heat is wasted making the system very energy efficient. Running costs are less for gas systems than for electric. Gas systems heat the water up fast. No more waiting around for the water to heat to finish the showers in the evening.
How does the plumber know what is blocking the drain?
Our plumber will use various tools to analyse the issue, including CCTV cameras, water jetters and plumbing drain rods.

The advantages of natural gas are many. Natural gas is the cleanest burning fuel in existence today. Gas is much cheaper than electricity. You never have to worry about running out of gas for the BBQ or hot water system. Indoor and outdoor heaters can be run off the natural gas mains. Please keep in mind that not all properties have access to a natural gas supply.

When you book your job, we will provide you with an appointment window or a fixed time of arrival. The first job of the day is a fixed time appointment & we will arrive at that time. This can be between 7:00am and 8.00am depending upon your requirements. Other appointments are booked as appointment windows. Until we arrive at the job before you and fully assess the works, we cannot be 100% sure of how long the job will take and then after that how long it will travel to your job in the traffic.

I had Plumbing service and the guy who did the job (Brad) did wonderful job, polite to deal with, very professional, and comes on time. However when I was going to ask to get my Aircons installed, they have asked me to pay for deposit which was fine but I have asked for proforma invoice as I don't think I should just give out my credit card details not knowing how much they will charge, they have promised me they will send me through by the end of the day. They didn't. The next day I have received the quote(not proforma invoice) and received 3 phone calls from them demanding the payment. It took over 24hrs for them to do what I asked them to do but they won't give me few hours to organise payment!?
now my deposit has been paid, however they found out they didn't have enough stock to carry out the job on the day, so I have cancelled the job. requested for my deposit ($4000) to be returned to me, they have advised it will take 5-10 working days. Which is today. I have received call from them saying they will arrange it but I haven't seen remittance yet. I am not sure why it should take 5-10 working days to credit my money via credit card or direct debit. Very Terrible service, I will NEVER EVER suggest to use their service or use them again

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Dan H and Jack who helped me an electrical problem on 29 December 2017.
Fallon electrical had previously undertaken a lot of electrical work for me as part of a major renovation so this was the chance to see how effective are their work guarantees. Really great! And the problem hadn’t even been caused by Fallon electricians (rather someone who came as part of a kitchen installation).
They recognised that I had been a loyal customer also and went beyond the call to ensure I am happy … I am definitely am

Had some simple data requirements to be done.
The technician was knowledgeable and knew was he was doing.
However the total cost of the job for the amount of time it took (less than 2 hours work) was very high.
Wouldn't say approach with caution but......

Replaced my antenna and took away old one , did safety checks for me and noticed I needed help with my smoke alarms which he fixed same day . wonderful helpful services. arrived on time . Jason was friendly to deal with and careful to keep my kitchen area clean when he took on a difficult oven door hinge repair for me. The oven was old and the repair work was excellent. I wish all trades were this good to deal with. I can certainly recommend Fallon's Appliance Repair Service.

My feedback is not on the plumber but on the way and the price that Fallon charged. I arranged for Fallon to come to my house for quote of few jobs that I want to do according with my priorities. After checking around, the plumber said that my hot water unit was too old and very low performance, but I did not ask anything about it. As my house is old and I just bought it, I know that I will find a lot of problems around, but I cannot fix everything at the same time, regards to the cost. He TESTED the pressure relief valve, again without my permission or consent, and the valve did not come back to the original position, and I had hot water everywhere. Finally he closed the main tap to stop the hot water. He said I have to replace the valve otherwise I cannot use hot water (+-$300 because I am a member, otherwise it was going to cost much more). I asked for a quote and I HAD to pay for something that I did not ask for and without any option. I could not believe it, my concern now is if I ask for a quote and they touch something and break, I have to pay to fix it. I called the customer experience manager and he said it is a normal procedure (testing things without your permission) and he promised me $100 back, but I did not receive anything until now.

I needed a carpenter for a couple of tricky repairs in my old Queenslander. I was a little dubious when the plumber said his business group could also supply 'other tradesmen' but I'm now so happy he did. They worked as a great team, and their work exceeded my expectations in both quality of workmanship and price. Thoroughly recommend Steven H for maintenance and Lachlan C for plumbing. I'll most definitely be using them again!
