Why should I use a master electrician?

A Master Electrician is trained to deliver professional, safe, reliable service at the highest standard. Master Electricians must carry out ongoing training to ensure they continue to be at the forefront of their trade.

Can I do the small electrical jobs in my house myself?

Definitely no! In Queensland it is illegal for anyone but a qualified electrician to do any domestic wiring or house rewiring. Even if the work has been done to standard it will not pass certification which is bad news especially if you need to sell the property. It makes sense for safety to hire a qualified electrician to carry out all your household wiring. You also risk your personal safety and the safety of your family and friends.

When should I have an electrical safety check?

Fallon Solutions recommend that you should have an electrical inspection carried out if: You are purchasing a property that has been occupied. The property is more than 25 years old. If it is more than 5 years since one has been done. If you are concerned about how any of the equipment may have been installed. If you become a Fallon Home Protection Plan member, we conduct a complimentary Electrical Safety Inspection for you.

What are some of the advantages to installing a gas hot water system?

Gas hot water systems are environmentally friendly. Natural gas burns much less CO2 to heat the water than electricity. Electric systems can burn as much CO2 as an average sized car. Gas burns very hot and very little heat is wasted making the system very energy efficient. Running costs are less for gas systems than for electric. Gas systems heat the water up fast. No more waiting around for the water to heat to finish the showers in the evening.

How does the plumber know what is blocking the drain?

Our plumber will use various tools to analyse the issue, including CCTV cameras, water jetters and plumbing drain rods.

What are the advantages of installing a water tank?

Some advantages of water tank are: They can save you money on water bills. They are environmentally responsible. Your garden will always be the greenest in the street even during water restrictions. They will reduce your pool costs.

What do I need to consider when installing a hot water system?

Some factors to consider when deciding on a hot water system are: Running costs, Size, Electric, Gas, Initial cost, Energy efficiency, Where the system is to be installed.

What are the advantages of getting natural gas connection for my home?

The advantages of natural gas are many. Natural gas is the cleanest burning fuel in existence today. Gas is much cheaper than electricity. You never have to worry about running out of gas for the BBQ or hot water system. Indoor and outdoor heaters can be run off the natural gas mains. Please keep in mind that not all properties have access to a natural gas supply.

Do you guarantee your work?

We guarantee all of our work. We have been providing trade services 60 years and our licensed plumbers and electricians are very experienced. Our guarantee means something.

Are your plumbers "Master Plumbers"?

We only employ fully trained master plumbers and gas fitters and we are a member of the Master Plumbers Association. Every plumber drives a fully stocked service vehicle with the full range of common stock items as well as drain clearing machines and all other tools and ladders.

Do you promise to turn up on time?

When you book your job, we will provide you with an appointment window or a fixed time of arrival. The first job of the day is a fixed time appointment & we will arrive at that time. This can be between 7:00am and 8.00am depending upon your requirements. Other appointments are booked as appointment windows. Until we arrive at the job before you and fully assess the works, we cannot be 100% sure of how long the job will take and then after that how long it will travel to your job in the traffic.

I had Todd Bailey from Fallon come to my place to do some urgent electrical work (changing the position of power points and light switches for safety reasons). He was professional, helpful and completed the job quickly.

From first contact with Tony Simpson, he was most polite, professional and took the time to explain everything to me in straight forward terms. He was also extremely helpful in letting me know about the additional and significant benefits that apply to the Fallon Solutions Home Protection Plan. I signed up as a direct result of not only the benefits but the manner in which Tony wnet about explaining things to me.
I will definately be using other trade services offered and already have an Appliance specialist booked.
The whole process from my first call to delivery of the services has been excellent and would strongly reccomend to anyone.
Cheers,

Called Fallons to look at a basic Reverse Cycle Air Conditioning unit that wasn't working and they sent someone out 4 days later. The technician said he was going to charge us $305 just to diagnose what the problem was, this took us completely by surprise as with any repairs that would then be added onto the call out fee. I then phoned Fallons to find out why we were not told of the $305 "diagnostic fee" and this was even more frustrating as I kept being told that the customer service staff have a pre-prepared script that they read from so I just kept on getting the same response repeated to me. The one deviation from their prepared script was they stated all other Air Conditioning technicians would charge a call out fee however we then called four other companies who provided their charges over the phone, and which came between $75 to $100 not $305, the point being that all the other companies were happy to provide their costings and call out fees upfront. I really do not know why they cannot provide their actual "call out " charges when someone rings up, they are ridiculously expensive and the thing that annoys me greatly is that a pensioner or someone who cannot afford to pay the $305 may feel obligated to agree with the payment rather than cancel the job and then have to arrange someone else to come out while they swelter in the heat. Fallons will argue that everyone has the opportunity to not proceed with the fault diagnosis and just pay the $49 standard fee however the reality is that a number of people will not. But why should anyone even have to pay the $49 fee for a service that was not performed because they were surprised that the fault diagnosis was going to cost upwards of $305, Surely it would be more logical for FALLONS to inform potential customers the amount of call out fees that can apply than catch unsuspecting clients by surprise. In finishing the Fallons technician that came out was very professional through out this process.

We had Courtney from Fallon come in today to install 3 ceiling fans, several power points and replace/move a couple more. She was absolutely wonderful - very efficient and dealt with the issues a very old Queenslander invariably bring about with no troubles at all. She's an absolute credit to the company. Big thank you, we're very, very pleased.

Just a quick note to say how happy we were with Plumber Paul Kirk to day. He arrived at the appointed time and was business like in his approach to the work we wanted done. He was friendly, answered our questions and provided us with options in relation to the work to be undertaken.
He was professional in his work, neat and tidy and cleaned up on completion. We would be happy to have Paul as our plumber for any future work.

Satisfaction 5/5

I had a blocked drain so called them.

I was made aware of a call out fee but when they got to my house before they would lift a finger to unblock it I was quoted $200 to use a plunger or $250 to use a little bit of drain clearing fluid as well. If this didn't work I would still be out the $200. If it took 5 minutes to clear the drain using the plunger this equates to a $2400 per hour rate. I thought that was a little much so sent them packing. This price was out of their price book so it was not negotiable.
