Last week, I went to an appointment with my 14-year old daughter. Dr. Rajapaksa sprayed anaesthetic in her nose, so he could look inside, it was my daughter's first anaesthetic and didn't know what to expect. In time, she said it felt like her throat suddenly felt larger, drier, and straighter than it should be and had difficulty swallowing and breathing. Because she started panicking slightly, she went pale quickly and felt like she was about to faint. The doctor keeps on talking about what to do and what not, but I wasn't really listening because I was worried about my daughter. I asked him to stop speaking twice because I couldn't hear him anyway, but the kept on going. He basically pushed us out of his cabinet, shoving the prescriptions into my hands.

And as soon as he closed the door, my daughter fainted. The lady from the reception helped my daughter come back, with water, cold rags and sweets to get her energy back. I am astounded by the hostile nature of the doctor. I didn't even get an opportunity to consider him a specialist. Us not asking him for help again? It is certain we won't.
Doctors usually are meant to try and help a patient if they aren't feeling well, not just shoo them away without a second thought. Very disappointed.

P.S. and for the appointment we payed almost over $300!
