My dog is in the end stages of cancer, with tumors spreading throughout her body. She is weak, in pain, and parts of her skin are ulcerated and leaking blood and pus. I explained this clearly to the receptionist multiple times.



All I wanted was to get some antibiotics and pain relief so she could suffer less, as bringing her in causes her extreme distress and physical pain. Despite explaining her condition repeatedly, the receptionist kept insisting aggressively that I must bring my dog in, otherwise they would not provide any medication. There was no empathy, no understanding, and no effort to help a dying animal feel more comfortable.



In one of the hardest moments of my dog’s life, what I needed was compassion and support.

What I received instead was rigid policy enforcement without basic kindness.



I hope the clinic can review how the front desk communicates with owners of critically ill pets. For many of us, this is the last bit of comfort we can give them. Compassion matters.

Have been to this vet for almost 10 years and have only ever recieved the best care and advice for my pets. With unforseen emergencies they will always look after you, and i know everyone who works there cares so much for the animals - all staff know the names of my dogs. I recommend my vet to everyone - trustworthy, fair pricing and exceptional service

I personally wouldnt recommend this vet, especially to anyone who has serious illnesses with their pet. I went to this vet for about 4 months about a serious condition with my dog. After months of unsatisfying results and my dog not getting any better i finally decided to get a second opinion on my dogs conditon. On the first two visits of my new vet they were able to give her a life saving diagnosis and ive never seen her better since her developing her disease. Monash vet didnt go to the lengths they should have and didnt perform the tests that really should have been done almost immediately. If i hadnt changed vets its very sad and disappointing to say that her disease would have kept progressing and would have eventually killed her.

Been using Monash Vet for the past 25 years. They have now looked after 13 of my pets and kept them all in the best possible health. The vets i have had are all very caring and go to extra lengths to find out what is going on with any concerns. I could not recommend them more highly.

I am amazed with my service from Monash Veterinary Clinic.
I had never been here before and I rushed my young kitten in with an emergency. They were very accommodating and took her straight away. They even stayed open passed their finish time while I made a very hard decision.
After only 2 overnight stays my kitten came home with me. Not only were they amazing with me and my partner. Calling for updates and very understanding. They also treated my kitten very well, even heating the room she stayed in. 10/10 service from everyone here, even if I didn't get to take me kitten home. I know they did everything they could!

If you have a pedigree dog or are a breeder then you may have a good experience. However, I have had nothing but trouble the few times I took my dog to them with his arthritis only getting worse, and then my cat was poorly treated following her Caesarian section, the stitches were left too far apart, and all her kittens were neglected until they died because I had to leave for work, it was never suggested a family member should stay to help take care of them. During the "sterile" operation, the door was left open and a cat escaped into the operating theatre whilst my cat was open on the table. This place over charges and has no genuine interest in the welfare of your pet. I would give no stars given the option. I have found a new vet that discounted me because of how poorly my cat was treated by this vet.

We used these guys only when our cat had been hit by a car. They were sympathetic and profressional in advising me how they would take care of the carcus.

A difficult situation for them as they mostly deal with live pets but they handled it well.
