MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT IS SPECIFIED

I have a daughter aged 6 and the school she attends has appointed JFE to supply the uniforms, the design of which is excellent (including fabrics). However, that’s where the good features end.

Standard sizing tables are readily available but totally ignored by the JFE manufacturer; let me illustrate: -

• I purchased, inter alia, a size 4 winter skirt – my 6 YO daughter is not obese nor particularly small; this is the smallest size available.

• The standard waist measurement for size 4 is 21Inches (53.34 Cm); for size 6 it is 22 inches (55.88 Cm)

• The size 4 that I purchased has a waist measurement of 68 Cm (nearly 27 Inches); close to 15 Cm to big

• My wife’s waist is only 3 Cm more than JFE think a child size 4 should be.

• Not only that; every article in the uniform range is for Boys which the girls must wear (Tunic excluded). I think this is equality gone mad.

If you buy from JFE, make sure they adhere to Australian standard sizes or send them back. I asked to have mine altered to fit, but they wanted to charge me for their poor quality control
