If you enjoy rude arrogance, poor customer service and suspect quality work, then you have contacted the right business. Based on my last two experiences with General Auto Instruments, I would advise you to keep shopping for another company that wants your business, and is prepared to earn it. Companies such as this one with so little engagement in the satisfaction of their customers do not deserve support.
I returned a customers instrument cluster to them for a warranty repair 5 months after it was last repaired by G.A.I., and they would not even look at it without their invoice number. When I asked them if they could look at the problem to save my customer an extended delay while I find the invoice, which might take a week or more as my book keeper is on annual leave, he refused and stated that they only have a three month warranty anyway. I asked if this is as long as they expected the repair to last, and the aggression this question prompted was palpable.
I am not a vexacious person by nature and have never bothered with an on-line review before, but poor service on top of poor quality deserves publicity to save other potential customers the difficulties I have just experienced.
My advice, try somewhere else.

I needed the spedo re-calibrated for my Discovery 2a 2003 due to an increase in tyre size. I called general Auto Instruments twice to confirm the make Model and Year of my car and asked in particular whether they already had done this for a Land Rover Discovery 2 as there are only a very few units which will work with the discovery 2.

They ensured me they had done this plenty of times. I made an appointment (the place is 45 minutes away from where I live) and I dropped the car off, again confirming make and model, and went to the next coffee shop. 1/2 later I received a call sorry mate we can't do it it is not 1993 Discovery 1!!!!!

When I then complained I was told I had given them the incorrect details which is ludicrous. This guy's unfortunately have no clue of what they are doing I can not recommend them.

Half a day wasted for nothing.
