When we first enrolled our daughter in Bilingual by Five, we were extremely happy with the centre and the service of all the staff. However, we have just recently removed our daughter from the day care as the service has unfortunately declined. Not sure if other parents share the same view with ours or not, but it seems as though all the positive reviews the centre received were about 6 months ago and there hasn’t been a single positive review since.
For instance, I have noticed in the past few months that when I go to pick up my daughter and Jada or Martina were not around, the other educators would just ignore my presence and not even bother to say hi. Jada and Martina were the only 2 friendly educators who would go out of their way to say hi and have a chat but unfortunately, Martina has left and it’s only Jada there now.
We have also been extremely disappointed in the service provided by Nicole, the centre’s director. We contacted her a few weeks ago in regards to an extremely valuable necklace/pendant that our daughter lost at the school and her entire attitude towards the whole thing was very blasé and dis-interested.
Even after explaining to her several times that the necklace is a family heirloom which has been passed down to our daughter from several generations, her care factor was still zero. After every single contact with her, she promised to call us back but has never once done so. Instead, each time it was us who had to call her back to ask for updates. I understand that she is a busy person but even after knowing how important this pendant is to our family, I thought it would have been nice of her to take a minute out of her day to call us, being the director and face of the centre. She also promised to help us search in certain areas that we did not have access to but after a whole week, we found out that it was once again, an empty promise as she hadn’t even bother doing that for us and when I attempted to ask for more help, her answer was simply that she was too busy and couldn’t do anything further for us. I think being in the industry for over 21 years has taken it’s toll on her and perhaps it’s time to move on and do something else Nicole?
Anyway, this review is not about bagging Bilingual by Five. Like I said earlier, I think Jada and Martina is/was wonderful and one of the main reasons we enrolled our daughter into this day care was because of Joanna who is a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education but unfortunately, she left the school about 6 months ago. But it’s funny how they still continue to use her face and credentials in their website to advertise the centre. I’m not 100% certain but to me, that is false advertising and is probably illegal?
Last point, you can continue to enrol your child here if you like - it’s obviously your choice. This review is not to dis the centre, it’s simply written honestly to let potential parents aware that the centre’s customer service has declined dramatically from the beginning. They are super friendly to get your child enrolled at the beginning but when and if, you require assistance on important matters, they lack the basic skills to help. The sad truth is, had I read a review such as this one, I would not have enrolled my child here as there are plenty of other fantastic day cares around that would have you and your family’s best interest at heart.
