Had a full service and idler pulley replaced

I brought my mum’s car to this shop and the mechanic immediately told me it was a fuel pump issue. I agreed to have it replaced, and he assured me it would be ready in a day.



When I came back the next day, the car wasn’t ready. I asked how much longer it would take, and he said he didn’t know—just told me to call instead. I followed up three days later and was told he had replaced the fuel pump, but the issue still wasn’t fixed.



I gave him more time. Two weeks passed, and I had called him hundreds of times with no response. After I’d given him long enough and he still wasn’t answering calls, I went down in person to get the car. When I arrived, I found it sitting untouched on a side street.



I told him I just wanted the keys back, and he said I had to pay $650 for parts he claimed to have replaced. I asked for a list and receipts—he had no receipts and gave me a very dodgy handwritten invoice. I paid just to get the car and be done with it.



Later, I took the car to another mechanic who found that the coolant tank was cracked and leaking—an issue that wasn’t there before. That mechanic fixed everything in just three hours.



This shop is completely unprofessional, dishonest, and money-hungry. Please don’t waste your time or money here.
