Gombar's Motor Service

My family and I have been taking our cars to Gombar's for years now and have never had anything but good experiences. I would trust David and his team in everything they say and do - which is pretty rare as mechanics go.
Highly recommend them for anyone, particularly with regard to European cars!

I have used Gombar's for a few years now and I have to say that they have fantastic service, reasonable pricing and are very accommodating with times to book in. I read some of the earlier reviews and I have to say this is not my experience in all the times that I have been there. People need to realise that cars are mechanical things and therefore prone to problems, failures, breaking downs and oil leaks. This is especially so for older vehicles which is, I suspect, the bulk of the vehicles Gombar's would see. These are more often that not, not the fault of the mechanic, but the mechanic advising of preventative maintenance before an issue escalates and cost significantly more to resolve. I think they do a fantastic job, they don't overcharge, always contact me prior to any preventative maintenance that is going to cost more than expected, which is honestly a rare occurrence and was genuinely required. In one case they even saved me money! Highly recommended!

Do not take your vehicle to this business! After taking our car here for a safety inspection the man charged us for the wrong service initially after failing the car and subsequently causing three more visits either back to him or a mechanic (who found nothing wrong with the car which has now passed a safety inspection at another business). To top it all off he then made false claims about the service we requested in the first place, abusing me over the phone, once we had finally sorted out the non-existent issue. Definitely find another business to take your car to.
