This business has demonstrated questionable practices. Since the beginning of the year, they have failed to pay multiple subcontractors, whom they have worked aside for multiple years. Despite numerous attempts to communicate, they have been largely unresponsive, and when they do respond, they falsely promise to settle outstanding balances by the end of the week. We've had to engage a debt collection agency to recover the payments we are owed. Instead of making the last installment, they retaliated with two unjustified backcharges. Given their behavior, it seems inevitable that this business will face insolvency.

I found the sales staff professional and willing to help me.

I found the administrative staff unresponsive, unprofessional and rude. It would seem they are doing me a favour by agreeing to build a house for me. If I emailed in with questions, I might get one answered. They barely answered any emails, unless it was a request for a payment.

The sight supervisor only met with me once and refused all contact.

Now the house is finished they refuse to come back and fix the issues, such as a badly fitting sliding door, which is scratched down to bare wood.

They dropped clay on my property from other building sights and then never took it away, leaving me with the responsibility to remove it.

I am still picking up rubbish after 5 months, nails, screws, tin, cigarette butts, bricks on a weatherboard house, plastic and other building rubbish that no one could be bothered to put in the bin supplied

Dont use them.

Absolutely hopeless, messy trades, silicone left everywhere after plumbers, poor finish, appalling paint job - all which they don't want to fix. Deliberate, poor communication

Please do not use these guys. They are very unprofessional and will take you for a ride. We provided a 5 bedroom floor plan to our sales consultant for the drafts men to draw up, when she returned our sketch it only had 4 bedrooms. Then we asked for our ensuite to be a certain way, again it came back with something completely different, after the fourth time it still came back wrong, we had a meeting with our sale consultant, we signed all the changes that had to be made so it was dumb'd down and could not come back wrong again, guess what it came back WRONG AGAIN. After all the stress and anxiety this all caused, we asked BHC for our money back. No surprise they didn't come to the table and gave us a massive run around and lies. Please do not involve yourselves with these guys. They do not deserve your time or money. Very untrustworthy and that is coming a well known fact through the Macedon Ranges.

I hv started building with them.the independent inspector at frame stage revealed some inconsistencies in their work(not according to building standard)which will not have been rectified had I not spent the money to employ an independent inspector.
Secondly,I was told that a certain site supervisor is my site supervisor but then it turned out to be his son who is under trainership...this does not give me a sense of confidence and I feel I have to check everything...there was a lack of follow through even though I rang to ask for architrave to be completed which was promised by the father supervisor that it will be finished.it has caused me unnecessary inconvenience.i don't think I will recommend this builder to anyone.

If anybody is thinking about building a new home I have seen a bright homes get built with no issues at al except the wrong soap holders were installed once they were notiffied they got changed.
All in all the workmanship on the house is excellent.
Would not have a problem recommending this builder to anyone.
