Great venue and one of the true supporters of the live music scene. The band room is fantastic and has been the host of many famous and not-so-famous Australian and international bands. The front bar is large and down to earth. Upstairs is a large rooftop area where you can sit back and drink or enjoy a meal.

A legendary live music venue in Melbourne - a massive amount of bands roll through the place, but surprisingly it's got a pretty iffy bandroom. Every time I've been it's standing room only and you're packed in like sardines. Getting to the bar or bathroom and then back to your inch-wide spot is a nightmare. There are a couple of poles to block the view and the gale force arctic air-con can be unbearable. Positives are there are trains and trams right nearby and you can get an ok meal here, roo.

A great live music venue right near the train station in Richmond. The Corner has gigs on constantly, but also has a downstairs bar and a rooftop if you're just after a drink.

If you're heading there for a gig beware the giant wooden pole in the middle of the room that will block your view. If you're not intending to go right up the front I'd recommend halfway back to the right of the stage, it's got a good view and is close to the bar and bathrooms so you don't have to fight through a crowd.
