Riddells Creek Automotive

I have used Riddells Creek Automotive since they opened. I had trouble a couple of times with a competitor (who has now moved on !) But have always found them to be most reliable and honest. The amount of times they have discovered little or big things wrong they have always called to discuss before moving on to repair !! This gives you the option on what to do and whether to fix it now or at a latter date. I could not recommend this business more higher for honesty and integrity !! But my only gripe is now other people have discovered this little gem and it is taking me longer to get service and repairs done... Bugger !! A great mechanic and reliable service.

I've been using Riddells Creek Automotive for about 1.5 years and just recently I've decided that they're untrustworthy. I had a service done to my car about a couple of months ago and one of the tasks they did was to swap my front and back tyres around. I always keep my wheel lock nut key in the centre console so it doesn't get lost, and after I drove off to work one morning after the service and opened the centre console, the wheel lock nut key disappeared and the lid was only there. I rang Michael straight away and he said it was in the boot in a 'slot'. I had a look and I couldn't find anything. But I'm no mechanic so maybe it was in a place I didn't know about. Last week I had a flat tyre, I called my roadside assistance to come put the spare on and they asked where the wheel lock nut key is. My heart sank, Riddells Creek had it last so I called them and they said it was in the foam bit in my boot. Nothing there. My roadside assistance pumped up my tyre so I could take it to the closest tyre shop, so I took it to Ultra Tune, they pulled out the screw, filled one of the holes in at no charge, they even helped me find my wheel lock nut key but again, nothing.

My parents took my car down to Riddells Creek today, the mechanics removed the unique lock nuts and replaced it with the normal ones, but never replaced my lock nut key.

I'm very disappointed with the mechanics there. I wouldn't go back, they simply lose the things you need and pretend that it wasn't their fault.
