Scope of works:Repair render and paint to match existing render and paint - lower part of house, and gate.
The Reality:
The preparation left dust covering the paths, plants and wall.
The paint over the render was too thin revealing the cement render.
The render was premixed and not sand and cement to make a fine render to match.
Render patch was rough and wavy lines run the full length of the house on two walls - from below the weep line to 1/3 up the wall.
The paint over the render was too thin revealing the cement render in places.
1/4 of one of the wall's Soffit was painted yellow to match the wall - so I assume he used wall paint for that. It stopped at a downpipe ( which now has yellow paint blobs on it)
No soffits were in the scope of works
Masking tape remains on some areas - eg braces of wall clothes line.
Paint spills on taps, terracotta tiles, down pipes.
His solution was to cut a line into the house above the weep holes to demark the rough render and the smooth render - but the areas have not been feathered ad requested and the rough render now has ridges butting up to the smoother existing render.
Areas now show of his render "repair" and the existing render
Add to that he fails to show for appointments, or can be an hour late if he does show, changes the same appointment repeatedly, and doesnt respond to texts or email.
