Melbourne Brick & Block Layers are a family-run company with over 40 years' experience. We specialize in architectural brick and block work, heritage restoration and rebuilds, walls removed, lintels installed, stitch cracking, chimney and fireplace work, new builds, renovations, repointing, retaining walls, fences, and commercial alterations. We can arrange for a two-man team up to a fifteen-man teams depending on the needs of your project. As you can see we can offer everything from Labor only to all materials and Labor included, or anything in between.
We are happy to do work after hours to accommodate your needs for emergency repairs or building shutdowns for example. We have a scaffolding hire business associated with Melbourne Brick and Block to cover all your scaffolding needs for your project. We as parents could not have asked for a better place for our daughter to commence her bricklaying apprenticeship and fulfill her dreams! John and the team at MBB have every best interest at heart and are a great bunch of guys, knowing our daughter will be taught by the best in the trade makes us proud! The front of my Californian Bungalow required a new brick wall and the replacement of two columns. John, Tom and the team not only provided a quality service but there work and attention to detail was impeccable. They used A grade secondhand bricks that has finally brought my house back to its formal glory and era.
The pictures that I have provided is the finished product after a good clean. The two columns at the top of the wall will be rendered. Awesome job guys!!!! If you need a professional bricklayer then I would highly recommend these guys.

Had two doorways opened up in brick wall with steel lintels added. Work carried out was well done. Easy to deal with and good communication with John the owner. Would recommend to get a quote from Melbourne Block and Brick if you need brickwork/blockwork done.

I needed some work done around my house in Beaumaris and I had a recommendation from a friend of mine to use Melbourne Brick and Block. I was amazed at the finished result. I even recommended them to my father who needed brick work done in his outdoor entertainment area, my father is very hard to please but he was so happy with everything (the job was for his BBQ and around the pool). The leading hand on site Tom was very professional, well mannered and he has one of the best eyes for brick and block work my father's ever seen. The team at Melbourne Brick and Block went above and beyond any thing I had ever pictured. I have seen other work they have done around my area and the overall look is beyond words. If my father was impressed they have to be one of the best in there field.

I don't know how they have positive reviews here. John Charles has promised many times to start my job. Once engaged, I paid deposit immediately so that work could commence as soon as possible. 3.5 months later I have been fobbed off again. Today I have asked for my money back as I can't wait any longer. These people have real issues with commitment.
