Wildlife Aid

My colleague found a baby bird on the ground, so we put it in a towel and called wildlife aid to come help. A man came in, picked it up and told us it will probably die and how he is tired of birds. He was quite rough as he wrapped it in tissues and the poor bird tweeted from how he was handling it. He was very uncaring for someone who is working for a rescue. It made us feel sad and we were worried he would just discard the bird after he left with his dismissive attitude.

This Hunter Valley volunteer wildlife rescue group answers calls on their hotline 0428 850 089 24hrs/7days per week about injured or orphaned native fauna. They have been courteous and prompt in their response to a couple of calls we have made regarding animals hit by cars on Hunter Valley roads. We thank them very much for their dedicated service.
