CBD Movers

The movers were friendly and efficient. They were able to move a three bedroom house in one truckload. They worked a few hours without breaks and worked fast given the amount they had to move.

Booked CBD Movers to assist us with the move of our 2 bedroom apartment.

The level of customer service, care and professionalism is atrocious.

The damage done to our property includes: scratched fridge, scratched washing machine, scratched drawers and bedside tables, missing screws from drawers (that no longer close properly), a large dent to the dining table, torn bed head and damage to the bathroom sliding door, which was snapped completely off the rail guard.

I have contacted the company numerous times to seek compensation, however their story changes each time we speak. They have lied, made assumptions and refused to accept any responsibility.

Their lies include:

- Blaming the damage on my pet (without even knowing if our pet is a cat or dog) and later backtracking , saying this was just an “assumption” made by the movers.

- Stating “the customer asked the team to place the washing machine in the laundry room respectively and it was later moved by the customer” when 1. WE DON’T HAVE A LAUNDRY ROOM and 2. Neither of us are physically capable of lifting a washing machine.

- Stating we moved and damaged the furniture ourselves, when we only moved the prepacked boxes and bedside drawers from the apartment to street.

- Stating “the wheels of the cart movers used to carry were of plastic material and cannot cause damage to the sliding door” when I CLEARLY advised the company the damage was done by the removalist asking to use the toilet and PUSHING the door instead of SLIDING it, therefore breaking the door completely off the rail guard.

Can someone please tell me how my cat is physically able to leave large dents in dining tables, break doors, chip furniture etc?

Terrible company, Appalling customer service and unwilling to acknowledge any of the above issues or accept any blame. Currently seeking advice from consumer affairs and will take further legal action if required.
