On arrival there was a wait to be seated but had a nice table and waiter took our voucher and explained the compulsory 2 starters of dips which left 8. Not a problem really as we were looking forward to all the rest. When the dips came it was nothing special and the turkish bread was so greasy having been fried and i could not really taste the flavour of the dips and they were not that exciting. The we had the worst prawn cocktail of all times. The garnish was the prawn and there was no seafood dressing at all on the salad A few drops on the side were tasty but over all the worst i've ever tasted. Then followed the oysters mornay and kilpatrick. A personal taste here and i preferred the kilpatrick and my partner liked both. The next entrees were lemon pepper calamari and beer battered prawns. Calamari was so tender but for me too much pepper. My partner loved it.as he did the beer battered prawns. The highlight of these entrees followed as in the mussels and scallops tossed in a wonderful sauce of south african spices which were not too hot. The garlic prawns were enjoyable and overall the food was to a good standard.
Unfortunately the re are no toilet facilities within the restaurant and had to ask for a key to use the nearby public services. This was a big surprise as we expected a restaurant of this calibre to have its own facilities
Waiter service was of a good standard although appologised for being busy and keeping us waiting for what we asked.
We were given a VIP card but not sure if we will use it. Was made aware of the owner of the establishment and was not at all impressed with his dress code as being casual. thought he was an extra from the kitchen staff. maybe if he had introduced himself to the customers and asked about their satisfaction overall we might have been enlightened as to his status. Overall the score i would rate this restaurant is an ok. Would not pay full price

To the person reading this PLEASE Avoid this restaurantI!! It was awful. I gave 1 star because I had to. We waited almost an hour and a half for our entree, which was a trio of dips. They were busy but I became frustrated when I noticed other tables who had arrived later than us being served their food first. Then we had the famous "lobster mornay". The wait staff informed us that they had run out of lobster shells and served it to us in a pathetic small plastic bowl. There was so much cheese and barely a hint of lobster. Our mains arrived and on top of a mound of rice I found a small garnish of extremely overcooked and enidible seafood. I was hungry and gave it a crack. Burnt tyre rubber would have tasted better. My partners steak was of poor quality and he to was served up overcooked seafood. We left extremely unhappy and we were given a "VIP" card which allows us a free coffee or tea the next time we dine there. I took the card and had a lovely time Snipping it to shreds when I returned home. All in all a very bad experience. We used a "Groupon voucher" which my partner thinks may have been the reason our food and us were treated like pond scum.

My girlfriend and I ordered the Caesar Salad(x2), Fresh Oysters, Oysters Kilpatrick, Oysters Mornay, Beer Battered Prawns, Grilled Octopus, Garlic Prawns, Mussels and Scallops, and 1 other dish I can't remember, making a total of 10 dishes/servings. In addition, we ordered the Trio of dips and bread to start us off. After a few minutes, the manager came out and informed us that the bread and dips was not only part of the 10 servings, but counted as 2 servings. This meant having to cancel a Caesar salad and the Oyster Mornay. Not a ggod start to the evening. We asked for water and a glass of Coke to start for our drinks, the water arrived with with a crash landing onto our table. My glass with my partners water, put down with enough force to splash some out onto the table.....with no offer of an apology to be seen. The bread and trio of dips arrived, with 2 small bowls of dips about the size to be expected for 1 serving, no issue there, but accompanying that was 4 rather thinly sliced triangles of Turkish bread. Certainly not what I would consider to be 2 servings worth, nor 1 serving for the listed price. Other dishes began to arrive, again with a noticeable thud onto our table. The food portions were tiny for the price listed on the menu. The oysters had a metallic taste to them, the Caesar salad had a puddle of water at the bottom, the Mussel and Scallop was bland. The food was all round disappointing.
