Sydney Harbour Ferries

Best way to travel always a beautiful view cruise through the harbour. It can get busy on the weekend so u might be standing but otherwise great

If there is a choice between the bus, taxi or ferry, Id take the ferry (as a tourist). Its good to be able to ferry past the iconic Sydney Opera House and Bridge, passing by rich harbour houses, sail boats, and have the option to stop at different island destinations as you go.
The ferries are large so theres usually plenty of room for everyone and the cool thing is theres free wifi on board! If you feel a little bored with the many round trips you have made on the ferry, just take out your phone and you are easily connected to the world while cruising!

To me (from Melbourne) the Ferries are one of the major attractions of Sydney. I am an unabashed fan and have been known to get a pass and spend all day on the Harbour. The trip out to Manly is a must do in Sydney but I love the smaller ones that go across the harbour under the bridge. It is a great way to see of the interesting houses in Sydney eg. Across to Mossman. The cats (catamarans) are also fun very comfortable but I prefer the smaller ferries that have to weave in and out of the yachts.
