I contacted Nick from Al Electronics a week ago to find out the cost to replace a blown fuse after the severe thunderstorms about 4 weeks ago. Just to let you know I am an electrician by trade and removed the back of my smart television and there is a protective fuse installed in the event of a power surge etc, which happened during the storm. Having explained to Nick I had tested the fuse with a multi meter and found the fuse to be blown and the cost to replace as it was hard wired into the circuit board. Nick advised he does not repair televisions and to throw my 4 year old television in the bin as they are not worth fixing. I advised Nick to look at his website as it indicated he repairs all brands of televisions etc, he said no he does not and to throw it away. This is unacceptable to think he would not fix it, as I feel because I knew what was wrong he could not escalate the repair bill. Please keep clear of this Al Electronics !! Just to let you all know I soldered a fuse wire across the blown fuse and now it is working fine.
