Please don't buy a car from here. I don't think the sales team or management realise how much stress and effect they can have on peoples lives and don't get me started on the compulsive lying. I enquired in June about a Kia and the salesman Max said he had one coming in a week. He then called me at 7:30 at night chasing a deposit to hold the car and insisted we had to come up on the weekend so he could do a trade value to secure the deal.
So my husband drives an hour and a half away leaving me with our two week old baby and toddler ( I'm well and truly still recovering from child birth) because Max insisted we had to do this deal now or the car would go.
Fast forward to now and I can sadly tell you there was never a car for us. I openly called the manager to check what boat our car was on ( I understand they can't control stock delays) however he said to me the car had been ordered for production. We NEVER had a car coming on a boat!!! There was never a vin number like the salesman said. Management refused to return my calls or emails after we found this out and the sales man could never admit he did us wrong. I have all the proof of phone calls, emails and texts sent.
Funny thing is we went to another kia and got talking to some other customers and the same thing happend to them at Kia Toowong. Definitely has a bad reputation.
They value your car and you think your getting a good deal and then they know they won't have a car for you so your trade contract will expire and that's when they will hit you with thousands of $$$ more. Why do this to a young family who are trying to get a car for the safety of their kids. Why do this to anyone.
Also please don't tell me to contact you because the amount of times I tried to get into contact with the managers Leighton or Chris and they don't answer. You can contact me. Max will know who we are.

Appalling service. Brought a brand new July 2013, that process was long and unnecessary, and dispite being told numerous occasions we were paying cash they kept trying to force us to use Esanda for finance. For over an hour they tried the hard sell for numerous add on's and were told no in every instance, any idiot could see we were getting annoyed and our 2 year old impatient and tired. We ended up being in the sales office for over 4 hours for a cash sale off the lot. Every service we have had so far since the purchase we have had to challenge the charges as they invoice more than the "capped price" advised at purchase. We were since advised ACCC investigated Kia’s capped price servicing charges and forced them to reduce them advising every one via letter however they still charge more than their letters indicate.
Have had to return the car for warranty issues relating to the patch harness, never an apology from Kia and when we asked if we could have a courtesy vehicle, they blatantly displayed how inconvenienced they were. Less than 9 months after the patch harness was replaced, vehicle had same issued only this time they tell us it’s the battery and not under warranty $285 for battery plus labour plus the $533 for the service, have the car back a day and is now leaking large amounts of oil. Contact centre advises to bring vehicle in, again no apology, no offer of a courtesy vehicle nothing.
Dropped vehicle off this morning, and Kia called later this morning to say we could pick up the car, again no apology or acknowledgement that they stuffed up.

There are some professional and nice people at this dealership and there was a couple of extremely unprofessional staff. We have bought a few cars over the years and this experience was absolutely terrible. We picked up a $50k plus brand new car with 100km range of fuel in the tank,and over 100km on the clock indicated by an extremely high economy meter on the dash (has been thrashed) no nice gifts or anything, not even a cargo mat which was negotiated upon purchase. The handover was absolutely disgusting and the sales lady was simply extremely rude. We placed a complaint against this dealership and to let Kia Australia know of their representation from this platinum rated yard. Kia called back to confirm issues and will follow up. We haven't heard anything since, not even a call or email from the dealership. WE WILL NOT BE TAKING OUR NICE KIA TO THEM FOR ANY AFTER WORK / SERVICES.
My advice is be very wary of this yard. Some staff are excellent and highly recommend while others, just walk away and ask for other staff to help. Do not expect any effective after sales support. We wont be recommending this yard to our friends and wont be buying any future cars from them.
