Forest & Garden Tree Services is a reliable tree felling and stump removal business in Warrnambool. We have about 30 years of experience in the trade and have served the local communities in and around Warrnambool. We are licensed, insured, registered, and abide by Australian Standards AS4373. What is an arborist?
An arborist is a qualified tree worker min level 3 who has studied his trade just like a plumber or electrician.
What if there is limited access to my tree? E.g. you cannot drive a cherry picker into my back yard, then how can you help?
As qualified arborists, we specialise in limited access. Using only qualified climbers to access you tree with ropes and harnesses. There are many ways to gain access which we can discuss at the time of quote.
Do I have to apply for a council permit?
Each council and property is different, some overlays which can be around are heritage and environmental protection and we can assist you in finding out whilst quoting your job.
What are your business hours?
Our working hours are 07:30 am to 05:00 pm but are available 24/7 for storm damage clean-ups and other emergencies.
How much does it cost to cut a tree down?
This question is like how long is a piece of string? The best option is for us to come do an inspection and provide you with a free no-obligation quote on your tree.
Where are you located?
We are located in Grassmere VIC 3281.
When do I pay and do you require a deposit?
We only accept payment after the job is complete and do not require a deposit.
Do you remove stumps?
Yes, we do. Not all the stumps need to be removed but we have a 44 HP radio remote controlled stump grinder perfect for getting the out.
Are you insured and what insurance do I need?
Yes, we have $20 million public liability insurance, professional indemnity insurance, and full workers compensation. Make sure you use an arborist with professional indemnity, unqualified people cannot get this and it protects you against my advice.
Do you have a wood chipper?
Yes, we have 4 from 6.5 tonne 235, HP 18-inch whole tree chipper, down to a small 2.4 tonne 9 inch to tow behind a Ute and squeeze into the small yards. We also have many other machines to help with getting the job done fast and efficient like 3 cherry pickers, bobcat and tip trucks.
Can I keep my firewood and mulch?
Yes, you can or if you like we can take it away. We can discuss this while quoting.

I had some large, well established trees die and after advice I feel so much more confident in managing trees on my property so i don't loose any more. Very helpful and I now have a long term management plan. Truly happy with the above and beyond service i received.
