My rear windscreen was shattered and need replacement. I felt that the service provided by Budget Windscreen was unpleasant and disappointing, below are the reasons:



1) The Budget Windscreens website claims that it provides mobile service but not in my case.



2)I was told it was ok to drive to them (approximately 18km from my place). Unfortunately, my already broken rear windscreen shattered further and broken glasses went everywhere in my car as I made turns, drove over humps and on freeway, how dangerous was that!!



3)There was another customer waiting when I arrived... so for some reasons the owner asked me to help him to vacuum the broken glasses from my car so he could prepare other things. I somehow agreed to help, unaware of my own safety (I was wearing short and t-shirt and without safety eyewear!!).



4)I was told I have to bear the consequences if my demister was faulty and it might cause the new windscreen to crack. The owner didn't check for me even though he has many years of experience as claimed.



5)As I am not a professional, there were still tiny pieces of broken glasses leftin my car after vaccuming. When I asked the owner to help me vacuum them, he said "No"!! To add insult to injury, He said I was not helping him but myself as it is my car!!



6) It is not a budget windscreen as claimed as the price is similar to others and worse of all the customer has to get involve with the work!





It was an unpleasant experience andI felt I have been taken advantage of and would never recommend it to anyone!

Budget Windscreens did a great job replacing my windscreen. My car was booked in for the following day and their quotes are competitively priced, all round a good deal; I will defiantly be using them again.
