Adam encouraged us to buy his impactor mats to place under the floor boards for insulation and sound proofing. Our floors needed levelling so he also charged us $3000 to do.

Shortly after, the floors have all lifted and are moving and he took zero responsibility for it. I asked him numerous times if it was because of the mats and he blamed it on the flooring and told me to contact the manufacturer.

I called around and was told the Aspire floors he provided and installed should not ever have mats placed underneath as they are a click in system. Unfortunately the flooring industry is not regulated so I had to cut my losses with getting a small refund from the manufacturer and Adam paid a very small portion of it but not without having to chase him for it being abused by him and dragging it out.

Overall Adam walked away with thousands of dollars profit from us, he blamed the flooring company when it was his incompetence and poor workmanship and now we have been left with floors that are all lifting and not levelled. There are areas when walked on, one can feel the floor go down.

Do not hire Adam to do your floors, he may come across as a nice guy but he’s not good at flooring. He’s also extremely unreliable and will turn up whenever he feels like it, there were times that we had booked in a days work with him or an inspection and he wouldn’t turn up. He had every excuse you could imagine.

- the boards we paid for are not what was supplied.

- the leveling work we paid for has not been completed properly.

- the quad is nailed the the boards

- after less than 8 weeks down we have boards lifting and popping up.

- quad in doorways sits higher than door frame.

- metal strip not fitted to bathroom doorway

- chunks of paint taken out of nearly every door frame in the house.

- damage to stone benchtop

- they smashed a light fitting (they did eventually pay to fix this)

- small hole in a wall

- they leave a dangerous and messy worksite.

- they don’t turn up when they say they will once they have your money.

We’ve had both a building inspection and am I depending flooring guy look at our floors AND their supplier too AND all can’t believe how bad the work is.



140+ sqm board we have to have completely removed and start again. He’s refused to address the problems or take responsibility. We are going down other channels for appropriate action.
