Service was prompt, courteous and a job well done. Would have preferred a quote prior to attending to do the job as it was expensive. The plumber had empathy with my concern and ensured a reduction in the quote for work I didn't need doing. However the labour component charged is excessive.

i have to say i was ripped off by Pascoe today. it is true they dont have call out fee, however, you will pay double or even more when you choose their service. first, they sent a guy to investigate the problem and found the leaking source in my case. This would charge you for $165 for investigation fee. it still sounds reasonable. the problem is the quote. They know will how to rip off your money when you are stressed and vulnerable and ask you to sign paper work for 50% non refundable deposit, so even thought later on you realize you paid too much, they lost nth, remember they usually double the market price. Anyway, they exaggerate the problem said they might need open the indoor wall in order to fix the leak. When the next group of their people came to fix the problem it end up with it can be fixed with a simple soldering...less than one hour work of soldering a tiny hold on my hot water pipe cost me more than $600. in total i paid over 800 ....my partner and i are mad now because i used their service...because i found out local plumber can do this job at $100, $200 maximum.
We learn a lesson. because they use 1 people quote + 2 people fix team, 3 people do one small job. there is no way they charge low price. however, it just way too too too too too too too too too expensive. if we use local plumber, we can save up to at least $600.

Pascoes charges twice the going rate for work. I got caught out because 4 years ago their prices were competitive. Then they lock you into a non refundable deposit when youre stressed and vulnerable. Then, if you ask that the manager is decent and lets you out of this Legal Contract, he lies about why he cant until he eventually admits that he just wont. He's got your money now!

In the past we have had great experience with Pascoe's but after yesterday and today we will won't be using them again.
Our water heater went yesterday afternoon. We got a quote from Pascoe's at the end of the day which and paid a deposit. That evening we realised that the quoted amount was *double* a previous quote from them for the exact same job, which we'd investigated knowing that our water heater was old and might soon need replacing.
After calling a few other plumbers, we had quotes that matched Pascoe's original lower quote. First thing this morning (7:00am) we called to cancel the, hoping to get our $712 deposit back as a goodwill gesture as we have been repeat customers, so far nothing had been done and the time from quote to canellation was well under 24 hours.
The person we spoke to claimed that the parts had already been purchased for the job, and so they were out of pocket. However by calling Pascoes supplier Galvin, we confirmed that the order for our water heater and associated parts had already been cancelled by Pascoe's, and that Pascoe's had *not* been charged for anything.
Pascoe's offered to match their price such that if we went with them it would be no worse than us losing our deposit and going with someone else. However we'd rather give our money to a local plumber than give Pascoe's the job so that they could get the rest of our money.
I understand the non-refundable deposit thing, but in this case it feels like Pascoes tried to rip us off on the quote (doubling their own original quote), then lied to us about our deposit already being spent, when it hadn't been, and then just basically said "Well, we've got your money now, and you can't do anything about it.".
In the meantime, while we were trying to sort all of this out, another plumber had already completed the job, and (even taking losing the deposit into account) we saved about $1,200 on Pascoe's original undiscounted quote.
We won't be using or recommending Pascoe's in future.

Don't be fooled by the "no call our fee", instead you will be charged an "investigation fee" which is exactly the same thing! The "investigation fee" is $165. This company quoted us in excess of $1000 to repair our gas hot water service but when we got a second opinion cost $269 to repair. I could not recommend them at all - in fact I will never deal with them again!
