Plumb Last!

I fully expect this company to end up on a Current Affairs show one day, with a plumber with a pixelated face being chased down the street by a reporter. Still owe us money.

Incompetent plumbers and terrible customer service. Avoid PlumbFirst (and the sibling companies ElecFirst, ComfyFirst) or you will regret it.

I can't believe these guys are still in business after experiencing their service (or lack thereof). This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. 2 months went by and the job was never completed despite me chasing them up regularly. I eventually managed to get a partial refund, but even that took 3 weeks of constant following up and daily broken promises of "tomorrow", "I promise I'll get back to you same time tomorrow" or "within 24hrs" - I heard all the variants over the past 3 months.

The facts:

1. Billed when the job was not even close to complete (I had already paid an upfront deposit, the balance was supposed to be taken on completion). 2 months later I was still chasing them up trying to get the job completed.

2. At one point during this 2 month wait the toilet was left leaking quite heavily from the join (rubber valve area) when used and in the end it was actually another plumbing company who sorted that out for me despite me telling PlumbFirst about the problem and how urgent it was (as per point 4).

3. External wall broken into to access the main stack for the work was not rebricked and returned to it's initial state and looked super dodgy.

4. During the initial work a bit of brick was dropped into the main stack later causing a further blockage - the same kind of problem blockage I had called PlumbFirst out to handle in the first place!

5. Unable to get any update or contact from the plumber for 2 weeks. Previous to that I was getting "this week", "next week" and no one ever showing up. At this point I called to get a refund as it was getting overly ridiculous.

6. Misleading advertising on the website - I called them based on the websites $79 (or something close to that) unblocking ad, I was extremely surprised when the quote ended up being near $5k!

Don't call PlumbFirst. Dishonest, unreliable and incompetent.

Rang PlumbFirst because I had a problem with an air conditioner.They didn't show up on the agreed time and date and after 1 hour they rang me and said that they couldn't make it and would come the next day. When they came they told me what the problem was and how much it would cost. They wanted the money upfront before they would start work. After some arguing I paid them a deposit and the rest when the job was finished.

After about a month the air conditioner had the same problem so I rang PlumbFirst again and mentioned that on their website they say that they guarantee all their work. However, I was told that the only guarantee they provide is what the manufacturer provides on the parts.

So stay away from this mob.
