FAQs
Do I have to take the computer to Affordable Computer Repairs & Service?
No, we have a mobile service and can come to you, your home or your office if you are within our mobile service area. We do not charge a call-out fee, nor do we charge for the time taken to get to and from your home/office from our workshop in Coorparoo.
How much does it cost to find out what is wrong with my computer?
We charge $75 to diagnose the problem with your machine – you are not charged this fee if you decide to go ahead with the repair job.
How much will it cost to get my computer fixed?
We charge an affordable hourly repair fee of $150. We charge this hourly rate whether it is for Mac repairs or Windows-based computer. Parts, if needed, are extra. We do not charge additional rates for after-hours or weekend jobs. We never charge customers over three hours of labour for jobs undertaken in our workshop, no matter how long the repair takes. Most PC, Laptop or Mac repairs take between one to two hours.
Is it worth getting my computer fixed, should I just buy a new one?
With the cost of new PCs and Laptops now so affordable we understand your dilemma. For this reason, we offer a diagnostic service ($75 ) after which we will tell you what is wrong with your machine and how much it is going to cost to repair. We only charge this fee if you decide not to proceed with the repair of your computer – and we do ask you to bring your machine to our workshop in Coorparoo for this service.
Can I bring my computer to Affordable Computer Repairs & Service? Where is your workshop?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your troublesome computer into us, 6 days a week, 8am to 6pm.

I recently received the dreaded AFP virus on my laptop, and it made it impossible to do ANYTHING! I Googled computer repairs on my IPhone and was lucky enough to find Affordable Computer Repairs in Brisbane. Mark and Karen were lovely to deal with, and they had me up and running again within 24 hours...just like they promised! Great price! Great service...and friendly people. Excellent combination! I would recommend them to anyone needing fast, friendly, and cost competitive computer repairs.

I spoke to Mark after my laptop had beer spilt on the keyboard and he agreed to look at it as quickly as possible if I dropped it over. He phoned me a couple of days later with the great news that all was fine after he had cleaned the beer from the inside. All this for $145 and the service was far superior to that offered by the Apple store. I would recommend this business for all computer issues and will use them if I require service for my laptop.

I had a problem with my laptop and information I found online was useless. I left a message with Karen and Mark promptly returned my call. The first thing Mark did was offer me some advice on how to fix the problem myself. It was relatively simple but noone had mentioned this technique on all the forums I read and it worked! I was amazed that Mark was so willing to assist me to solve the problem without fees or insistance that I need to take it in for assessment. I am SO grateful and if I have a problem with my laptop in future I will take it straight to Mark!

What a wonderful service Mark and Karen
From my first phone contact they were professional prompt and polite nothing seemed too much trouble, more than eager to fix my problem and get my computer back up and running.Being a single parent money is an issue for me but also not being computer literate didn't want to be taken for a ride.
Not only was the cost of the repair excellent but the whole service and after service should be commended.
Well done can highly recommend !!!!
