Mega Homes

We recently paid a deposit and did our colour selection 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately despite numerous calls and emails we have had no response. Very disappointing and unprofessional. I think we can kiss our deposit goodbye.

I have dealt with many builders over the years and I can say that mega is one I'll happily recommend and use agin in the future..

I was abandon by a builder who turned out to be an ice junkie. My project was 60% complete with more that a dozen code discrepancies.

The team from mega can in and saved the project from ruin and I was very happy with the level of professionalism and personal touch displayed by mega homes.

Very helpful and excellent. Will definitely use again.

We know builds will always have issues BUT what we have been through a nightmare throughout the process post signing papers, has been completely unprofessional, under handed and irresponsible.
In our new home over 12 months and still having significant issues that have not been finished/repaired.
We went to Consumer Affairs due to condensation causing damage to mdf window reveals (with mould) plus a list of other repairs to be done at a time new management came on board. We thought we would have our issues addressed given the seriousness and the fact someone finally attended our home to inspect the damage. But NO, bandaids and bull is what we were given.
Now, we are being completely ignored when we call and email.
I urge others to go public with their issues.

Mega bullies so buyer beware. Lie and claim they only offer 3 month building warranties rather than the legal 10 years. Won't fix any issues and consistently rude and do not return calls. Poor quality finish that I am now having to fix and take to the VBA to claim back from them. Buyer beware.

We have been in our mega home for 12 months and this week will lodge our complaint with the VBA. We have spoken to them on many occassions, they are well aware of this company and their practices. Everything on these bad reviews are true, i have 22 pages of issues, conversations ans poor workmanship! These people pray on those who dont know much and take them to the cleaners! I agree the good reviews must be an inside job, all on the same day!
I overpaid for a poor quality house and will not rest until they have rectified this.
1. Can only use 1 appliance in kitchen as you blow a fuse with anymore than 1 - electrical issues are dangerous.
2. Light switches back to front
3. Enamel on bath all chipped
4. All paint work of a very poor standard
5. Marble bench that we paid extra for and mega supplied, chipped in 3 different place!
6. Shower doesnt drain properly
7. Carpets coming up at most joins
8. Tile grout breaking off
9. Kitchen cupboards chipped

This is just the beginning and after notifying them many times of the issues, and being told we have a 3 month warranty of which the VBA dispute and our paperwork states otherwise, have had enough, time to stand up to these MEGA bullies!!

Mega homes built our house 2 years ago. We have had no structure problems. That's the only good thing I can say about them. The sales team are hard to deal with. The build that should have taken 3-4 months took 12 months. They did not go with all of our selections & when I pointed that out they said it was to late to change. It was there error not me changing my mind! This resulted in a house we were not 100% happy with. To top it off, at handover, they tried to get an extra $10,000 off us!! The only reason they didn't was because I had all final figures in writing so they couldn't dispute. If you build with Mega, be VERY careful. Check all paperwork thoroughly, especially the figures! My advice, don't build with them.

It is always a warning when you see multiple 5 star reviews from the same day! In all my years of Real Estate this company has been the absolute worst to deal with. 3 unreturned phone calls for the week and when I finally tried for the 4th time I was met with such a rude staff member. They have absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever.
