Our story began in 1995 with the inception of our first plumbing business in Adelaide, SA. Our modest operation soon grew across Australia as we followed our passion for delivering excellence into other utility trades, including air conditioning and other heating and cooling solutions. How qualified are your air conditioning technicians?
All of air conditioning technicians are fully qualified, insured and have undergone extensive training to meet our high quality standards before starting work with our clients. We continuously train our staff so they are up to date with leading air conditioning best practice.
Do you charge extra for public holidays or weekends?
No we don’t! Regardless of the day or time, we never charge extra for after-hours attendance.
What are the methods of payment?
On site, our plumbers accept cash, credit card or cheque. We also have finance options** to approved applicants. If you would like to take advantage of these, simply mention it on the phone to our friendly call staff.
What other services do you offer?
We also have a team of qualified electricians and plumbers, so if you need more than just your air conditioner serviced, we can attend to all your electrical and plumbing needs too!
Are you available on weekends?

A technician came out quickly but the price for a simple service was over $1k which is insane. I was taken advantage of as it was a cold day and I needed my heater fixed right away. I wasn’t in a position to say no to the quote.

Consumer Affairs here we come! Read the reviews before booking them. (Melbourne)I just wanted to post this to warn others away from this using this company. I cannot believe they are getting away with what they are doing. I was nearly conned into paying $1200 to fix a problem which turned out to be a $50 part and fixable in 10 mins.
Long story short I called this company wanting to get an aircon tech to come and look at my faulty aircon and give me a quote for repairs. I found them on google and they seemed to have positive reviews and were the top rated in the results. They made me pay a $140 fee just for the call out which I agreed to. When speaking to them I asked about whether it was a qualified tech who would be able to do the repairs when they arrived (if possible) and was assured that yes that was the case.
4 hours after he was supposed to arrive, their so-called Tech comes out and it's clear he isn't a qualified and says, "Still trying to get my head around ducted heating" and would need someone else to do the work (so basically just selling me the service). He told me that my aircon needed to be "rejuvenated" and once done they could check to see what repairs would be done and they would quote me then for the parts or even for a new system if needed. The cost for the "rejuvenation" was $1200 and from what I could tell it was just cleaning with a high-pressure water pump. He put on the pressure for me to sign then and there but it definitely felt off, so I said I'll have to get some other opinions.
After this I checked into it further and found many more reviews all saying that this company was a scam and that the people they send out aren't qualified techs and will charge you for a "rejuvenation" which won't solve the issue and then try and sell you a new system. I asked in my local FB group and got a recommendation for a local tech. I called him and he was super helpful and fixed the issue and replaced the part for $300 which includes the $250 service call fee). He also said he had heard Metropolitan was notorious for ripping off people and charging $1200 for an unnecessary process.
I feel annoyed that I paid for the call out fee and it just seems very unethical to practice in this way. I am posting this hoping that people who are looking into these guys in the future are fully aware of how dodgy they are!

Metropolitan Air Conditioning did a great job installing a new ducted air conditioning system. Couldn't be more satisfied with the service and both techs working were fantastic.
