I had a leaking storm water pipe. I dug a trench removed broken section of pipe and just needed a 3m section of pvc installed. No digging no removing anything. Quote was $3100! The section of pipe and fitting were $63 at bunnings and it took me 15 mins to install after waiting 4 hours for that insane rate. I hate to think how many people have fallen for their scam. Looking at reviews this seems to be their practice.

I had a guy from Cyber Electrical (Gold Coast, QLD) come out and said it would cost $1850 to supply and install one electrical socket and one light switch (to replace a couple of older units that were already wired but failing due to wear and tear) and then do testing. Alarm bells started ringing in my head "that's bloody expensive for the work" I thought immediately.
He then threatened to turn off the house's entire lighting circuit unless I went ahead (there were tenants living in the property with a newborn child)
I told him I couldn't afford that. Eventually he didn't turn off the light circuit and I got another quote from another company that came out the next day (MCH Electrical) and sorted it all out for $410. MCH Electrical were a much more honest company than these cowboys. I'd advise you steer clear from Cyber Electrical!

Josh turns up the same day that I called. That was the end of the good news. He says that he will not know what the problem is until he services our air conditioning unit. Josh then quotes $3,290 for this service.

This business is ran by scanners, their ABN is registered under 60 other business's.
They operate by charging you a $141.50 callout fee, sending a 'technician' (just a guy with an iPad, actually not qualified at all) and then quoting you an amount that is so ludicrous you have to say no.

Tech attended quickly and immediately gave a ridiculous quote of $1500 to "service" an evaporative air con when the fault is already known. Refused to simply fix the fault (a simple $30 part replacement). Nobody is paying you $1500 for one hour of work max. They are just hoping you are desparate enough to say yes.

2nd Appointment 3pm to 6pm (Didn't show up) (Technician running late)
What a waste of time, I should have read the other reviews on this sight before booking.
After reading the other comments I now feel like I dodged a bullet).

The guy came to the call out in a Metropolitan van for my request to fix a unit that had stopped working and showed a flashing light. He made no attempt to diagnose the fault but said he would service them (I have 5 units). He quoted more than $2k to service (clean) 2 units or more than $5k to service all 5, claiming it would take more than 5 hours. I went on Hi Pages and an honest technician came out quickly and did them all including repairs and re-gassing for about $900. This is an absolute rip off company.

We had them booked to come out, the first time they never showed up and I got two different excuses from the ground staff, then the second time they didn't show up either. I'm extremely disgusted by their service or lack of it. Don't bother.
