Metropolitan Air Conditioning aims to keep our customers comfortable in all climates, all year round.
Our story began in 1995 with the inception of our first plumbing business in Adelaide, SA. Our modest operation soon grew across Australia as we followed our passion for delivering excellence into other utility trades, including air conditioning and other heating and cooling solutions. Today, we keep hundreds of customers comfortable in all climates through our complete air conditioning service.

All of air conditioning technicians are fully qualified, insured and have undergone extensive training to meet our high quality standards before starting work with our clients. We continuously train our staff so they are up to date with leading air conditioning best practice.
Do you charge extra for public holidays or weekends?
No we don’t! Regardless of the day or time, we never charge extra for after-hours attendance.
What are the methods of payment?
On site, our plumbers accept cash, credit card or cheque. We also have finance options** to approved applicants. If you would like to take advantage of these, simply mention it on the phone to our friendly call staff.
What other services do you offer?
We also have a team of qualified electricians and plumbers, so if you need more than just your air conditioner serviced, we can attend to all your electrical and plumbing needs too!
Are you available on weekends?
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all public holidays!
How do you quote?
We quote by job, not by hour. And we’ll tell you the fixed price before start, so you know exactly what you’re up for.

We supply, install and service most makes and models of air conditioning and heating systems, including Braemar, Breezair, Kelvinator, Carrier, Lennox, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Nec, Hitachi, York and many more!

Wherever possible, we can be at your door within the hour*. If you have a time/date preference, we will always do our best to fit in with your schedule.

My pensioner mother’s air conditioning unit broke down and the technician tried to get her to sign on the spot for an $17,000 quote. She felt pressured and like she had no choice but thankfully she did not sign. He then followed up with a quote of $3500 just to “thoroughly investigate” the issue!! This company will take advantage of vulnerable people if they can -Do not use this company. Always get three quotes to avoid being robbed.

We had Metropolitan Air Conditioning come out and quote for the full clean of our split system. In all, we paid $1400 and at the end of it, were told that our system infact had a leak and it would cost another $2000 to find and fix. At the quote, they confidently told me the full clean was required and that should fix the issue. A leak was not even mentioned as a possibility. Without doing their due dilligance, they misguided us into creating more work for themselves at the extraordinary rate of $400/hr. Don't make the same mistake we did. We are $1400 out of pocket with an air con functioning the same as it was in 5 days ago.
Find a reliable, local family business instead as we should have done.
