Our story began in 1995 with the inception of our first plumbing business in Adelaide, SA. Our modest operation soon grew across Australia as we followed our passion for delivering excellence into other utility trades, including air conditioning and other heating and cooling solutions. How qualified are your air conditioning technicians?
All of air conditioning technicians are fully qualified, insured and have undergone extensive training to meet our high quality standards before starting work with our clients. We continuously train our staff so they are up to date with leading air conditioning best practice.
Do you charge extra for public holidays or weekends?
No we don’t! Regardless of the day or time, we never charge extra for after-hours attendance.
What are the methods of payment?
On site, our plumbers accept cash, credit card or cheque. We also have finance options** to approved applicants. If you would like to take advantage of these, simply mention it on the phone to our friendly call staff.
What other services do you offer?
We also have a team of qualified electricians and plumbers, so if you need more than just your air conditioner serviced, we can attend to all your electrical and plumbing needs too!
Are you available on weekends?
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all public holidays!

We quote by job, not by hour. And we’ll tell you the fixed price before start, so you know exactly what you’re up for.

We supply, install and service most makes and models of air conditioning and heating systems, including Braemar, Breezair, Kelvinator, Carrier, Lennox, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Nec, Hitachi, York and many more!

Wherever possible, we can be at your door within the hour*. If you have a time/date preference, we will always do our best to fit in with your schedule.

Never thought AC installation could be so hassle-free until I experienced Metropolitan Air Conditioning's service. The new unit works wonderfully, efficiently cooling my space. Their team's expertise and neatness during installation were truly commendable.

Metropolitan Air Conditioning installed a whole new HVAC system for us about 6 years ago. We have them come twice a year for a system check. We’ve always received amazing service. This is the first time we’ve actually had an issue with our system - the downstairs unit wasn’t cooling like normal. When I called, they made me a same day appointment. The guys came and were super professional and explained the diagnosis, the warranty discount and immediately booked an appointment for the following day. They also charged the unit and added coolant to get us through the night with cool temps inside. They showed up on time the following day and took care of business efficiently and with great customer service.
We highly recommend Metropolitan Air Conditioning and will continue to utilise their services.

Came out to fix our faulty AC. The technician was quick to diagnose and resolve the issue. Now, it's running better than ever, providing consistent and quiet cooling. Very satisfied with the efficient service.

Had one of their service team out today to do a re-gas on a 3 year old 2kW split system. The guy quoted us $1200 for a 30 minute job. As someone who has worked in the industry I’m pretty disgusted at that.

Wishing I had read the reviews online, as I never would have made the call to Metropolitan Air Conditioning, as I am in the exact same situation many others appear to be in.
Their website looks good, they responded quickly and came out the same day I phoned. I prepaid the $140 call out fee, and a "tech" came to have a look at my machines. He "reset" them, by turning them on hot high speed, then cold high speed and assured he couldn't see anything wrong with them, and they should be working (which they were at the point, but not from any repairs). He did quote for a "rejuvenation" fee of $1200, but said it was far more expensive than competitors and that he wouldn't bother (or shop around for a service). Great, at least he was honest!
Then no less than 12 hours later the same problem occurs, phone them up and they proceed to tell me that the only way forward to diagnose the fault is to pay the $1200 rejuvenation fee. I should note this unit was installed 2020, so not super old and regularly cleaned.
Now that I've done a bit more googling, I now see that they are an absolute scam and this is the way they lure you in. They clearly put a lot of money into advertising to make sure they show at the top of a google search.
I'll save you the expensive lesson - Avoid Avoid Avoid!
