Metropolitan Air Conditioning aims to keep our customers comfortable in all climates, all year round.
Our story began in 1995 with the inception of our first plumbing business in Adelaide, SA. Our modest operation soon grew across Australia as we followed our passion for delivering excellence into other utility trades, including air conditioning and other heating and cooling solutions. There were a few problems to start with but thanks to the guys who picked up the problem and put in all the hours to get our aircon working. And thanks to Ben for making sure it was all working well.

I expected the first visit to check (which they charge 140) of my air conditioner but the guy came in 5 mins for nothing just ask us to pay another $1000 if we agree then he will arrange another day to have full service. Don’t trust their official website they hide the negative review and not clearly state their task made people confused.

Charge $141.9 for doing nothing (only coming for 10min and not even bother checking the air conditioner) but give you a $1100 quote for only doing air conditioning service. Such a rip off! Never use them again!

They said they would call half an hour before arriving. They didn't. To service our air con was $1200 and a new one was over $ 7000. DONT USE EVER!!!!!

Poor poor Customer service. lied to about when part would arrived told I must pay $500 deposit to order part was advised that someone would contact me. I paid money no one contacted me. when I called them they lied and said someone had called me lied again when I was told part would be 4 days then told it would be 15 days organised a date to install no one showed no one called I called them and was told tech went home sick so my job can't be done after I had waited 4 hours then could not organise another tech until a week later this is not a 24/7service as stated and cares little for its clients would not recommend or use again. Just an update found out thermistor cables are probably less then $200 for my unit so that would mean I paid $1,600 for 1 hours labour also got them back as this has not fixed the problem. They now want $1,990 and are saying it's another part that part is only $1,000 dollars being a motherboard so $990 for labour. To top all off I found out for $4000 I could of replaced the outdoor unit with 5year warranty with a new unit using another company these guys are CROOKS DO NOT USE

$140 non refundable call out to then quote $1600 for servicing my A/C or over $700 to give it a clean. 2 other companies have quoted this job at $250 for a major service but I stupidly booked with these guys hoping they could help me on the weekend as they say they don't charge extra for after hours work. I guess you don't need to charge extra when your pricing is already ridiculous. I can buy an new unit for that price!

After paying the upfront $149 we expected someone to actually do something. Instead the guy who turned up looked at the AC wall control, walked outside to unit. He then came back inside and said "your AC isn't working"......we obviously knew that. Not even 10 minutes here and left.
We rang the company and was told we would have an AC electrician here the next day and would sort it out. The next day the electrician came and proceeded to do the same as the other guy and said he wasn't sure what it was, maybe needed re-gassing, maybe leak? Then said someone else would need to come out and it would cost another $2000 to re-gas and $? to test for a leak.
He left after a total of 15 minutes here and left us with a $900 invoice for the quote.
On the invoice it states "the amount agreed by costumer"....are you flipping insane. Nobody agreed to that.
Come on.
This must be scam right.
What sort of company charges $1100 for doing nothing.
** We had another company come out a few days later and within 30 minutes knew
what was wrong and fixed it for us. It didn't need re-gassing or have a leak, it was the soft starter and capacitor.

On time. Cost $1300+ for a service and clean. Job took less than an hour. Pays to shop around. The rodent smell returned after 2 weeks and on the coldest setting our house only gets down to 30 degrees on hot days. I was told the system was running fine. However, it's definitely not as cold as it used to be.

false and misleading info when you call for a quote, no mention of the $799 cost plus parts if you actually want them to proceed further after just coming out to visually check your air con . Do your self a favour and go else where this company obviously does not value customers.
