Metropolitan Air Conditioning aims to keep our customers comfortable in all climates, all year round.
Our story began in 1995 with the inception of our first plumbing business in Adelaide, SA. Our modest operation soon grew across Australia as we followed our passion for delivering excellence into other utility trades, including air conditioning and other heating and cooling solutions. How qualified are your air conditioning technicians?
All of air conditioning technicians are fully qualified, insured and have undergone extensive training to meet our high quality standards before starting work with our clients. We continuously train our staff so they are up to date with leading air conditioning best practice.
Do you charge extra for public holidays or weekends?
No we don’t! Regardless of the day or time, we never charge extra for after-hours attendance.
What are the methods of payment?
On site, our plumbers accept cash, credit card or cheque. We also have finance options** to approved applicants. If you would like to take advantage of these, simply mention it on the phone to our friendly call staff.
What other services do you offer?
We also have a team of qualified electricians and plumbers, so if you need more than just your air conditioner serviced, we can attend to all your electrical and plumbing needs too!
Are you available on weekends?
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including all public holidays!
How do you quote?
We quote by job, not by hour. And we’ll tell you the fixed price before start, so you know exactly what you’re up for.

We supply, install and service most makes and models of air conditioning and heating systems, including Braemar, Breezair, Kelvinator, Carrier, Lennox, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Nec, Hitachi, York and many more!
How quick can you arrive?
Wherever possible, we can be at your door within the hour*. If you have a time/date preference, we will always do our best to fit in with your schedule.

Tech arrived late was quite rude and arrogant. Charged the call out fee, just looked at the system did no work and provided a quote in the mid 4 figures to do some tests and a service and no guarantee this would solve the issues and seemed to be more interested in selling me a system a cost of $19K.

Metropolitan's trade-person's appear to be more skilled in sales tactics than HVAC repair. Once they are at your property, they will advise that your air conditioner is not worth repairing and use high pressure sales tactics to sell you a new air conditioner at a price mark up of over 300% the typical market rate. I was quoted $5,999 to replace a 5kw split system. Other quotes suggest the going rate is about $1,850 to $2,000 supplied and installed.
Furthermore, I was quoted $2,900 to repair/re-gas the existing unit. Needless to say I rejected the offers from Metropolitan and had an independent HVAC trades-person complete the repairs to the existing unit (repair leaking flare fitting and re-gas plus service and clean the unit) for about a 10th of the price quoted by Metropolitan. Yes you read that correctly. The repair cost a few hundred dollars not $2,900 as quoted by Metropolitan.

I was very happy with the service we received from Metropolitan Air Conditioning today. Micky came to our house to diagnose our faulty ducted air conditioning system at the arranged time during a very busy period. He was friendly and efficient - providing clear, accurate advice and options for us to consider moving forward.

Technician arrived late, and was not an expert on Aircon despite having all the info about my Aircon model and problem beforehand. He charged me $142 attendance fee to tell me that they will send an Aircon expert which will cost me another $600 for an hour and I also have to pay for part on top of that as well.

Angelo came out this morning to install a powerpoint for my gas hot water unit. He got all that installed and working with a great eye to detail. I asked for two data points throughout the house as well as a switchboard configuration which he quoted and did for me that same day. Angelo is quite a fantastic electrician and i highly recommend him to anyone who would like to get any electrical work done.
